Singer-songwriter-producer Mike Posner is getting ready to release his debut album "31 Minutes to Takeoff" on August 10th! His first single "Cooler Than Me" is currently #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has already been certified platinum. Posner has announced that fans will be able to listen to his debut album over a week in advance of release on MySpace Music & SIRIUS XM this Sunday! Here we have one of the album tracks titled "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" produced by The Smeezingtons, which you can check out below. He will be hitting the road this fall on his first headlining club tour "The Up In The Air Tour" in support of the album.

Chris Brown Usher New Song Recorded in Jamaica

 
Chris Brown and Usher who were two of the headliners of Reggae SumFest which took place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, over the weekend found time to get in the studio to record a duet together on Saturday (July 24).

Brown took the stage by storm for a heated concert on Friday and even participated in a dance off with Usher organized by Elephant Man.

Later on the duo had dinner (picture above) in a trendy restaurant on the island and went to record a track that will most-likely be featured on Chris’ upcoming CD.

Reggae SumFest organizer Johnny Gourzong confirmed the news by telling the media that the two stars laid the track at a studio in Montego Bay, Jamaica over the weekend.

Brown who was lamenting on how he missed Rihanna (not too long ago they were pictured getting comfortable in a pool Jamaica) took it to his Twitter to thank his fans for their support saying, “I wanna thank you jamaica for your wonderful embrace lastnight at the show… next time well do passa passa…lmao.. (oh hell naw) .love ya.”

By making this gesture, Usher is permitting Chris Brown to take a big step towards an artistic and public rehabilitation after abusing his former girlfriend, Rihanna on Grammy eve 2009.

This is the first time the duo will be working together since 2005 when Chris Brown recorded a song that appeared in Usher’s movie flop “In The Mix.”

As mentioned earlier Usher will be releasing a new EP titled "Versus" on August 24th!! The set will contain seven new songs and will also be released as a special deluxe version of "Raymond V. Raymond." First single "DJ Got Us Fallin` in Love" is already off to a good start debuting at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100. Here we have what is set to be the second single "Hot Toddy" produced by Polow da Don. The Jay-Z assisted track will impact urban radio on August 9th! The version on the album will feature Ciara instead of co-writer Ester Dean.

Ne-Yo Hurt Me : New Song

 
Ne-Yo has unveiled a new promo picture where he can be seen looking like a real gentleman in an elegant black suit and fancy Italian shoes with a lady friend siting on a white piano behind him.
The newly released picture is to keep the buzz going around his upcoming CD “Libra Scale” that will be out on September 21st.

Speaking of ‘Libra Scale,’ a new song from the CD called “Hurt Me” which was produced by Stargate surfaced online yesterday. The track is not really good to be honest, the “Miss Independent” singer is trying too hard to blend Urban and Techno. He should get back to his smooth RnB sound.

Wednesday night Rihanna surprised the fans who attended her “Last Girl on Earth” tour, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles by bringing out rapper Eminem.
People must have known that Em was going to join Rihanna on stage because her gig in the Golden State was sold out for once
 

The duo performed their new number one song called “Love The Way You Lie” for an ecstatic crowd of screaming fans. I must confess there is zero stage chemistry between those two.
Rihanna looked bored during the performance while Em seemed distant.

British singer-songwriter Jay Sean is getting ready to release his fourth studio album due out November 2nd!! After the success of singles "Down" and "Do You Remember" he quickly began work on a follow-up. Here we have the first single titled "2012" which features collaboration queen Nicki Minaj. The song is a upbeat pop/r&b track which is set to impact radio on August 3rd! The video directed by Erik White is set to premiere a few days later on August 8th! The song is a little on the cheesy side for my taste but I`m sure radio will eat this up.

Kelly Rowland New Album Release Date Pushed Back

 
 
Kelly Rowland who is asking fans to give her a title for her upcoming CD has revealed that it will be out in October. Indeed the former Destiny’s Child singer has announced that her third solo album will not be out on September 21st, but will hit stores on October 26th instead.

European media revealed that Kelly who is now launching into dance music will have her entire CD put together by David Guetta (who produced “When Love Takes Over” and “Commander”.)

The French DJ will oversee the entire concept of the album (which I think should be called “I Command You To Dance”) and has already asked many talented writers and composers to work on records for Rowland.

Chris Brown, Ne-Yo or Dr. Luke have produced tracks for the singer.

Kelly and David are hoping for an album that will make the entire planet dance. Above are new promo pictures of Kelly for the forthcoming CD that could also be called Grown As* Woman.

Rihanna New Album 2010 Details

 
As soon as her tour is over, expect Rihanna to take over your radio/Ipod/Iphone. The “Disturbia” singer’s production label SRPrecords tweeted the following message informing RiRi’s supporters that “Rated R” is officially dead and that no more singles from that CD will be released.

Here is what the label said:

“She loves her fans and is trying to make the best album possible. It will be a return to her pop roots but will have enough variety to please all her “true fans.”

Expect the Barbadian princess to drop the first single from her new CD sometimes next month if not before.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Getting Married:Wedding Planned This Weekend?

                         
Alicia Keys, 29 who is pregnant with her first child and is engaged to rapper Swizz Beatz, apparently has plans to marry this weekend on a yacht during a fancy yet intimate ceremony.
According to Life & Style the ceremony will be taking place in Europe. A source told the mag:

“They’re planning a celebration in Europe very soon.It will be a star-studded celebration.She’s decided on a Vera Wang gown and has been eyeing Christian Louboutin shoes.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z as well as Oprah Winfrey are expected to attend the event. Keys, who should give birth this fall, had to wait for the finalization of Swizz Beatz’s divorce from his ex-wife Mashonda, whom he had two children with, Junior and Kasseem Prince.

Ciara Basic Instinct Album Pushed Back:New CD Delayed Again

 
 
Poor Ciara, her worst nightmare is happening all over again. Her misadventure with “Fantasy Ride” is repeating itself, with the announcement that her forthcoming CD “Basic Instinct” has now been pushed back from August 17th to October 5th.
With the leakage of the tracks, lack of promotion and countless mixtapes, you could tell that the LP was not going to see day light on August 17th nor on August 24th. “Basic Instinct” is starting to have the word flop written all over it, if CiCi does not step up and do something fast.

Kat Deluna Everybody Dance New Song

Kat Deluna Everybody Dance New Song – R&B dance and pop singer Kat Deluna has been working on her highly delayed sophomore album “Inside Out” for quite a while now, and a song has made its way online called “Everybody Dance” which is rumored to be from her second album and is produced by RedOne and features Elephant Man. This is the first time that RedOne, Elephant Man and Kat Deluna have been on a song together since Kat Deluna’s debut single “Whine Up” from her album “7 Lives” which was released in 2007. “Everybody Dance” is a fast, euro-pop dance track from RedOne and will probably do well on the US club charts. But the song doesn’t include the Latin, R&B and reggae vibes that are original to Kat Deluna’s sound, so her fans might not like it as much as her other music.

It is not known when her sophomore album “Inside Out” will be out, but it is rumored to be released this year.

Alicia Keys Fires Manager Jeff Robinson

 
She falls pregnant, she gets engaged, she sells her house now she fires her manager, I wonder what is next for Alicia Keys. Late last night Keys’ publicist (who should be worried about his/her job) revealed to Balleralert that the singer has ended her business relationship with her manager of 15 years, Jeff Robinson in a very amicable way. Here is what the publicist had to say :

Jeff Robinson, CEO of MBK Entertainment Inc., and 12 time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys have decided to change the structure of their business relationship. Robinson and Keys will continue to collaborate and produce future albums together through MBK/J Records while Alicia will now oversee all aspects of her own personal career. MBK Entertainment Inc. has been the management firm for Alicia Keys since she was a teenager-guiding every facet of her career, including the international success of her Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum albums, films and branding opportunities. Keys and Robinson have been partners for over a decade and would like opportunities to pursue other endeavors. Their decision is mutually agreed upon and amicable.

“This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes. Keys’ company, AK Worldwide, will now have responsibility and oversight for Alicia’s touring, endorsements, sponsorships, licensing, new business development, television and film ventures. MBK, a multifaceted entertainment company with a film, television, publishing and independent marketing divisions, will have the opportunity to focus on developing the careers of new, young talented artists. The company will also delve deeper into the gospel music format with their newly formed Glory to Glory Records.”

Does that mean Swizz Beatz will now manage her career now? Some have already started saying now that Keys is on her own expect her next CD to flop, what say you?
She is a superwoman in her head – so she most-likely believes that she can handle baby/career/husband/charity and even movies all by herself.

Lloyd Apology For Ciara “Hollywood B*tch” Comment

  Lloyd was apparently very upset at Ciara for X,Y,Z reason last year when he announced that she was a “Hollywood Bitch” and that he no longer wanted to have to do anything with her.

While being interviewed by Hip Hop Weekly last year the singer said, “I don’t f*ck with Hollywood b*tches and she’s like one of the chicks that’s just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don’t really get down with her anymore on some real sh*t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best”.

Well it appears that after doing some soul searching, talking to his mother and realizing that his career is dying that it is time to say sorry for his harsh comments. So he went on Twitter last night (the one place to go to apologize and make wedding proposals in 2010) to let CiCi know that he regrets what he said.

 Kelis is Not Competing with Other Girls
 

 

R&B singer turned dance singer Kelis recently stopped by the radio station Sirius XM in New York to promote her dance album Flesh Tone, which has been getting positive reviews even though not everyone likes her new direction to dance music. Flesh Tone has done moderately well on the iTunes chart which peaked to number #13 but hasn’t done that well in other countries
 
During the interview she made it clear that she doesn’t see the other girls as competition. Check out what she said below.
 

It’s funny, and I don’t know whether that’s arrogance, but I don’t feel like there is any competition. It depends on how you approach music making. For me to say that there was competition, well I would have to have approached making an album in a very different way because no-one can compete with my own life. No-one can compete with the experiences that made me write what I write.

She added:

 I don’t write music to please anybody. I don’t write music to get on the charts. It’s nice when that happens, that’s a great defining moment, but either way I’d have written the same thing. No-one can compete with the birth of my child, no-one can compete with my reverence for God. There’s absolutely not a single person in the world that can challenge that for me.”

Kelly Rowland Tired of Beyonce Comparison

 Kelly Rowland wants people to stop comparing her to her friend, Beyonce Knowles. Both have had successful careers since their group, Destiny’s Child, broke up several years ago, but Beyonce has had a great deal more success than her counterparts. She said that she still considers Beyonce to be like a sister to her, but she is tired of the comparisons between the two of them, and said that she wished that it would stop.

“We’re sisters! But claims of negativity and cat-fights sell way more. People can’t think of anything more intelligent than to compare. And that’s only natural, I understand,” Rowland said. She also went on to say that she blamed it on the industry, and that she now knows that she has to make her own way, and make her career her own if she wants to survive in the volatile music industry.

Rowland recently fired Beyonce’s father as her agent. Some had speculated that Beyonce had asked that she fire him after it was discovered that he had had a baby out of marriage. It now appears that that is not the case, as Rowland said that she was only looking for a change when she opted for a change of managers. He had been her manager since she was a child.

Rowland dismissed rumors that the group might be returning soon after Matthew Knowles had suggested that it might be the case. She said that he was not a part of the group, and that the decision was not up to him to make.

Alicia Keys who isn’t doing much promotion for her latest single “Put It In A Love Song” featuring Beyonce from her platinum selling album “The Element Of Freedom” due to her pregnancy, recently did an interview with UK’s Fabulous Magazine.
She talked about her partner Swizz Beatz who is a producer and she also spoke on being almost destroyed by fame. Check out what she had to say below.
 

“I am very much in love. Right now love is my main inspiration. Love is the one thing we all want in our lives and I am completely surrounded by it. Love fills you up in a way nothing else can and it’s the most amazing, amazing thing.
Oprah Winfrey is the wisest woman I know. She’s like my big, clever, older sister. A while ago she gave me one piece of advice which was to never get drawn into talking about that sort of thing. All I know is that right now my life is really, really good.”

 
On almost being destroyed by fame she said:

“No one warns you how hard it is to adjust to fame. Things happen, you find yourself becoming a person you don’t recognize and then you have to get back to who you were. I changed the people around me and changed the way I worked. I’d had this great career but I had no life, I needed to get my life back. I learned to meditate and I told everyone I needed time off every few weeks in my diary. It’s working, she smiles. Life isn’t just about getting what you want and having a great career, it’s having what you need.”

 
Alicia Keys has had some nice success with her latest album ‘The Element Of Freedom’ which debuted at number #2 on the Billboard albums chart, and most of the singles did well on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart including her number one R&B hit Unthinkable which had backing vocals by Drake.
But the singles haven’t done that well on the Billboard hot 100. Her next single Put It In A Love Song which features Beyonce will have a video out soon and a physical release.

 
 
Earlier this week I mentioned that Miley Cyrus is getting ready to release her third studio album "Can`t Be Tamed" on June 22nd!! Today was the world premiere of her official first single also titled "Can`t Be Tamed" which will be released digitally May 18th! The song was co-written and produced by long time collaborates Tim James & Antonina Armato ("Seven Things" & "See You Again"). It`s clear that Cyrus is going for an older sound with this uptempo pop/rock track. The video has already been shot and is already set to premiere on May 4th!

Ciara Blauw – Ciara has a new/unreleased song called “Blauw” that leaked today. The track is very sexual with the singer moaning, whisperering and breathing hard by the end. But truth be told, I do hope this is some leftover from one of her previous albums because it is terrible.

Cici who has been all over Hollywood with the Hiltons and the Kardashians should take her own advice (“I was on the red carpet, when I shoulda been in the studio laying down hot sh*t“) and go work on her upcoming “Basic Instinct” album.
